Governments commit to protect sexual reproductive health rights in Covid19 response

59 Countries including 10 SheDecides Governmental Champions [Canada, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Namibia, the Netherlands, Sweden and the United Kingdom] have signed an official statement urging the protection of sexual and reproductive health and rights during pandemic response.
Acknowledging that ‘sexual health services are essential’ and that ‘funding sexual and reproductive health and rights should remain a priority to avoid a rise in maternal and newborn mortality, increased unmet need for contraception, and an increased number of unsafe abortions and sexually transmitted infections’.
